Golden Gate Park

San Francisco’s largest park, Golden Gate Park covers 1,013 acres and is 3 miles long by 1/2-mile wide, larger than New York City’s Central Park. Golden Gate Park is also home to the De Young Museum, San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum, the Conservatory of Flowers. Golden Gate Park also offers gardens, a bandstand concourse, the Japanese Tea Garden, a golf course, and the world-famous California Academy of Science and Steinhart Aquarium. Also visible from the Golden Gate Park loop is Japan Town, Alamo Square and their Victorian houses (the famous Painted Ladies) and the epicenter of counter-culture around Haight Street. This tour will also include stops in the Marina and will take you across the Golden Gate Bridge in its BONUS LOOP.

 

Golden Gate Bridge

Our Round Trip Golden Gate Bridge tour links San Francisco with Marin Counties in absolute splendor. The bridge is one of the architectural marvels of the Twentieth Century. For decades, the Golden Gate Bridge held the title as the longest suspension bridge in the world. The Palace of Fine Arts was built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Today the site, which belongs to the City of San Francisco and features a classical rotunda with curved colonnades in an idyllic park setting. Visitors may picnic, stroll by the lake, or visit the posh Marina district. This tour will also include stops around Golden Gate Park and will take you through the counter-culture of Haight-Ashbury in its BONUS LOOP.
